Russ Hanbey is a native of the Pacific Northwest. Born in Eastern Washington, he has spent much of his domestic life living and working in both Washington and Arizona.
Russ Hanbey writes from personal experiences linked to observations from the world around him. His history of writing includes a number of publications that relate to his work as a classroom teacher and as an environmental educator. The deeper reservoir of writings reflects his relationship to the natural world, including wilderness experiences and environmental restoration. Recently featured articles in regional print media have been the focus of his handiwork and are examples of his current pursuit of both non-fiction and creative non-fiction writings.
